Description:

This 1987 Buick GNX is #90 of 547 produced for a single model year and is powered by a turbocharged 3.8-liter V6 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. A refurbishment in 2010 included an engine rebuild and a refinish of the exterior. Features include black and gray upholstery, 16″ cross-lace wheels, a rear spoiler, a Delco AM/FM/cassette stereo, air conditioning, cruise control, and an aftermarket exhaust. This GNX is now offered with a window sticker, manufacturer's literature, service records, memorabilia, a Carfax report, and a clean Florida title.

Interior:

The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black and sand gray cloth, and Turbo 6 embroidery accents the front seat headrests. Additional amenities include a power-adjustable driver's seat, air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, and a Delco AM/FM/cassette stereo with a graphic equalizer. The air conditioning compressor was replaced in July 2020.

Exterior:

Factory 16″ cross-lace wheels feature GNX-branded center caps along with chrome trim rings and were mounted with 245/50 BFGoodrich g-Force Comp-2 tires in March 2020. The GNX features front suspension components from the contemporary Grand National, and upgraded rear components include a Panhard rod, torque arm, and an additional frame cross member. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.

Drivetrain:

The 3.8-liter V6 was modified by ASC/McLaren with a Garrett T3 turbocharger under a heat shield with GNX lettering along with a larger air-to-air intercooler. JE pistons, a Comp Cams camshaft, and Felpro gaskets were installed during an engine rebuild in January 2010. Additional work included a valve job, boring and honing the block, regrinding the crankshaft, resizing the rods, modifying the oil pump, and painting the engine. An aftermarket exhaust is fitted.
