Description:
This FV106 Samson Armoured Recovery Vehicle was constructed for the British Army in 1980, and is said to have undergone refurbishments in 1994 and again in the 2000s before it was purchased by the selling dealer in 2025. The aluminum welded hull is finished in green, and power comes from a 4.2-liter Jaguar inline-six paired with a TN15 seven-speed cross-drive automatic transmission. Equipment includes a 13.2-ton capacity winch, rear spade anchors, two top and one rear hatch, a machine gun mount, a radio communication system, and individual controls for the treads.

Interior:
The cabin provides accommodation for a crew of three, and it features a winch, storage bin, and a radio communication system. The driver seat is in the front left of the cabin, and it features individual hand controls for the treads. Instrumentation includes a 50-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, and readouts for fuel level and amperage.

Exterior:
The FV106 Samson Armoured Recovery Vehicle was designed by Alvis PLC and introduced in the late 1970s as part of the British Army's Combat Vehicle Reconnaissance (Tracked) (CVR(T)) family of vehicles. It shares its welded aluminum hull with the FV106 Spartan Armored Personnel Carrier (APC), and was designed to retrieve disabled CVR(T) vehicles from the battlefield. This example is finished in green and features a rear-mounted winch with a 13.2-ton capacity as well as hinged spade anchors that flank the rear hatch. The steel tracks have rubber tread blocks, and each side features 12-tooth front drive sprocket and a rear track idler.

Drivetrain:
The 4.2-liter Jaguar inline-six is mated to a TN15 seven-speed cross-drive automatic transmission.
