Description:
This T-54 is a Cold War-era main battle tank is finished in green with Soviet markings and is powered by a 39-liter diesel V12 mated to a five-speed manual transmission with synchromesh. Equipment includes a rotating turret with a de-milled 100mm gun and a twin-barrel machine gun, top-mounted storage lockers, and rear oil barrels. Inside, the cockpit accommodates a crew of four, and it retains turret controls, a fire suppression system, periscopes, and storage racks.
Interior:
The interior features white-painted surfaces, and it accommodates a crew of four. It retains a fire suppression system, periscopes, storage racks, a jump seat, and a fixed seat trimmed in black and brown upholstery. Interior instruction panels are in Slovak. The driver is positioned in a semi-recumbent seating position in the left-front section of the hull. A gated shifter is mounted to the right of the steering tillers, and equipment includes a 3k-rpm tachometer and auxiliary gauges.
Exterior:
The T-54 entered production in the Soviet Union in 1946, with production expanding to Poland and Czechoslovakia in the 1950s. An estimated 100k T-54 and T-55 examples were produced before production ended in the 1990s. This example was repainted by Midwest Military Equipment of Washington, Missouri, under current ownership, and it features a rotating turret with a de-milled 100mm gun and double-barrel machine gun as well as top-mounted storage lockers, fuel tanks, and rear oil drums. The tank track system on each side of the vehicle features steel treads, rear drive sprockets, and five roadwheels. The suspension utilizes torsion bars with hydraulic arms, and braking is actuated by reversing the steering tillers.
