Description:

This 1968 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Sport Coupe was reportedly refurbished around 2012 and is finished in metallic blue with a black vinyl roof cover over black vinyl. Power comes from a 540ci Shafiroff Ultrasteet V8 mated to a three-speed automatic transmission paired with a Gear Vendors overdrive. Additional equipment includes a hood scoop, 15″ wheels, front disc brakes, QA1 shocks, Edelbrock rear control arms, a Positraction limited-slip differential, a B&M shifter, Vintage Air air conditioning, and a Custom Autosound stereo with Infinity Kappa speakers. This modified Chevelle is offered with a clean North Carolina title.

Interior:

The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black vinyl joined by a color-coordinated dashboard and door panels. Equipment includes an B&M console-mounted shifter, polished door sills, Vintage Air air conditioning, and lap belts. A Custom Autosound stereo with Infinity Kappa speakers is fitted.

Exterior:

The car was repainted in blue and features a black vinyl roof cover, a hood scoop, black lower body panels, and dual rear-view mirrors. The bumpers were reportedly re-chromed during the refurbishment. Ansen Sprint 15″ slotted wheels measuring 5″ wide in front and 9.5″ in back are wrapped in front smooth sidewall tires and rear 275/50 Mickey Thompson ET Street Radial Pro tires.

Drivetrain:

The 540ci Ultrastreet V8 was built by Shafiroff Racing of Bohemia, New York, and is equipped with the following components: Dart Merlin III block, Eagle crankshaft, Eagle 6.385″ connecting rods, 10cc Mahle dome top pistons, Shafiroff custom 6272 camshaft, .650″ lift, Brodix 114cc-chamber cylinder heads, Demon 950-cfm carburetor, Edelbrock intake manifold, March serpentine accessory belt system, Milodon oil pan, Holley Black Series fuel pump, Lemons custom headers, Aluminum radiator, SPAL Automotive fans.
Power is sent to the rear wheels via a TCI-built three-speed automatic transmission with a 3k-rpm stall torque converter paired with a Gear Vendors overdrive through a 12-bolt Positraction rear end equipped with 4.10 gears.
