Description:

We purchased this from a former Ford Dealer, he had it in his private collection for several years, once we received it we sent it over to Brads Automotive to get a service as it sat for quite some time, we had the carb rebuilt, new fluids and filters, new battery, alternator, plugs, and a tune up by Bruce in regards to Carb Jetting and setup. We replaced the original z bar style throttle as it would not allow the intake to get full throttle due to binding on the brake lines. This is a solid Mercury Comet BFX replica that has no rust and a very solid underside, the next caregiver will be very happy.

Interior:

The Interior is in very nice condition. It essentially is stock inside with the exception of several aftermarket gauges. Still retains the column shift, but it now is a reverse pattern for going down the track. It has a 5pt harness for the driver, roll cage is very nice. Seats feel great and all glass goes up and down with ease. Please take a moment to view the test drive video where we take it to the dyno!

Exterior:

Please take a moment to view our photo gallery for this specific ride. It is easily a 8 out of 10, there is NO rust. Front and rear bumpers are fiberglass. Rear bumper does have a crack near the mounting bolt. Hood and trunk are also fiberglass and they fit perfect. all bright work is in excellent shape. In factory trim these Comets were 2600lbs It now weights 2400ish lbs.

Drivetrain:

The driveline is solid, C6 transmission feels great. Motor has aluminum heads, Cam, MSD ignition, Holley Double Pumper, with dual pumps, Hooker style manifolds, Very rare Mercury Valve covers, Aluminum radiator, a ford 9inch, the list goes on. Trans has a reverse valve body, a 2600 stall converter with a trans brake, It is a blast to launch, shifts are firm. Rear end is solid with no funny sounds. Overall a very sorted ride. Yes this has a title and can be driven to shows, it does not get hot. It put down 335hp and 329tq to the wheels, in a 2400lb car! Essentially this is a 450hp engine due to drivetrain loss, we were doing the pulls on dyno jet in 3rd gear reaching 115mph before letting off. This would be a great 1/8 mile weekend warrior.
