Description:

This beautiful Skyliner convertible is powered by a replacement 352ci V8 paired with a two-speed automatic transmission and is said to have been refurbished under prior ownership. The car was refinished in blue and white over color-coordinated upholstery, and additional details include a power-retractible “Hide-Away” hardtop, 14″ steel wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, chrome bumpers and trim, a Continental spare tire kit, and an Alpine CD stereo. Car recently received fluid changes in addition to rebuilding the carburetor, repairing the retractable top mechanism, and replacing the ignition components, tires, and exhaust flange gaskets. The differential fluid was also replaced.

Interior:

The interior features front and rear bench seats upholstered in blue vinyl with patterned cloth inserts along with a color-coordinated dashboard, carpets, and door panels. Appointments include an analog clock, wind-up windows, a locking glove compartment, vent windows, lap belts, and an Alpine CD stereo. The Vintage Air system is inoperative, the horn does not work, and rust is noted on the trunk floor pan. The three-spoke steering wheel features a chrome horn ring and fronts a horizontally sweeping 120-mph speedometer and supplementary gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 98k miles, total mileage is unknown. The fuel gauge is nonfunctional.

Exterior:

Original two-tone Starmist Blue and Colonial White (FE) was repainted during refurbishment completed under prior ownership. Details include a power-retractible “Hide-Away” hardtop in addition to hooded headlights, rear tailfins, dual side mirrors, and a chrome grille, bumpers, window surrounds, and side moldings. The power-retractible top was serviced in preparation for the sale. Imperfections in the finish and glass can be seen in the test-drive video. Body-color 14″ steel wheels wear turbine-style covers and are mounted with 215/75 Hankook Kinergy ST narrow-whitewall tires. The car is equipped with an extended rear bumper and a Continental kit spare wheel mount.

Drivetrain:

The factory 292ci V8 was replaced with a 352ci V8 that was installed under prior ownership. Features include an Edelbrock carburetor, finned valve covers, aluminum radiator, and chrome-finished air cleaner housing. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a two-speed automatic transmission. Braking is provided by power-assisted discs with cross-drilled rotors in the rear.
