Description:

This 1965 Chevrolet Corvette coupe is powered by a replacement 327ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission and is finished in metallic blue paint. The car was modified with Black diamond-stitched vinyl upholstery, custom hidden headlights, wheel-arch flares, an upswept tail, flared fender vents, and an extended nose with filled headlight openings as well as 16″ Cragar S/S wheels, and dual chrome side pipes. Additional equipment includes a Positraction differential, a heater, four-wheel disc brakes, and chrome bumpers. Work included adjusting the carburetor, changing the oil, and replacing the fuel filter, headlight switch, instrument panel bulbs, and distributor cap, rotor, ignition wires, and spark plugs.

The fiberglass body is finished in Metallic Blue, and modifications performed under prior ownership include a lengthened nose with filled headlight openings, quad round headlights concealed in the lower grille, fender vents, an upswept tail, front and rear wheel-arch flares, and twin chrome four-into-one side pipes. The car is equipped with under-car neon lighting, which can be viewed in the gallery.

The 16″ Cragar S/S wheels are mounted with a mixed set of radial tires. The C2 was the first Corvette to offer fully independent suspension, with upper and lower control arms at the front and a three-link setup with a transverse leaf spring at the rear. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs with blue-finished calipers.

The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in black diamond-stitched vinyl along with tucked dash panels and a headliner paired with black door panels and carpets. Amenities include a heater, a digital clock, and a locking glovebox. The carpets are worn through, and aftermarket speakers are installed, but there is no stereo head unit.

The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for fuel level, amperage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 29k miles, a handful of which were added by the selling dealer. Total mileage is unknown. The headlight switch and instrument panel lights were replaced in preparation for the sale.
