Description:

This Torch Red-on-black 2004 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra indicates 22k miles and is heavily modified for your enjoyment. Read below for all the juicy details!

Interior:

The cabin has been modified with carbon fiber-backed racing seats upholstered in black leather as well as a roll bar with four-point harnesses. Appointments include air conditioning, cruise control, and a Pioneer touchscreen CD stereo linked to Mach 460 audio. Red-finished nitrous-oxide canisters are installed in place of the rear seats. The leather-wrapped steering wheel is mounted to a tilting column and frames white-dial instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer, an SVT-branded tachometer with a 6,500-rpm redline, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temperature, boost pressure, and oil pressure. The digital odometer indicates 22k miles. The traction-control system has been disabled and that the ABS warning light is illuminated.

Exterior:

The Cobra was distinguished from the contemporary SN95 “New Edge” Mustang by circular front fog lights as well as revised rocker panels and front and rear fascias. This example is finished in Torch Red (D3), and additional equipment includes a power-retractable black soft top, SVT and Cobra badging, and tinted headlight and taillight lenses along with an aftermarket hood and an aftermarket decklid with an integrated rear spoiler. The bumper covers have been refinished, and an area of missing paint is visible on the decklid.

Drivetrain:

A replacement 4.6-liter DOHC V8 was installed under previous ownership, and has been modified with a tuned ECU as well as polished Whipple supercharger with a 2.8″ pulley as well as a dual-pass heat exchanger, a Metco Motorsports interchangeable crankshaft pulley, a Moroso coolant expansion tank, Ford Racing 60-lb/hr fuel injectors, BBK Performance fuel rails, braided stainless-steel fuel hoses, and a nitrous-oxide system. Additional modifications reportedly include a BBK Performance off-road X-pipe and long-tube headers, a MAC exhaust system, and an aftermarket clutch with an adjustable clutch cable. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec T-56 six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The car is equipped with a Mustang GT-specification solid rear axle and a one-piece aluminum driveshaft. Gray-finished 18″ Rovos wheels are wrapped in a mixed set of Nitto tires. The car has QA1 coilovers, BBK Performance rear lowering springs, adjustable caster-camber plates, subframe connectors, and UPR spherical bushings and lower control arms as well as Mustang GT-specification rear brakes. The front disc brakes are equipped with Cobra-branded multi-piston calipers.
