Description:

This 2003 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra convertible is powered by a Whipple-supercharged 4.6-liter V8 with a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Finished in Oxford White, the car is heavily equipped from the factory (in addition to a host of aftermarket mods), all described below.

Interior:

The cabin features articulated front sport seats trimmed in Dark Charcoal leather with tan microsuede inserts and embroidered Cobra logos. The driver's seat is power-adjustable, and the installed Classic Designs Concept styling bar features an integrated brake light. Other interior appointments include a Pioneer touchscreen stereo wired to a Mach 460 sound system, a cue ball-style shift knob, Cobra door lock pins, remote keyless entry, cruise control, A/C, and power windows/mirrors/locks. The leather-wrapped tilt steering wheel frames white instrument dials that consist of a 160-mph speedometer, SVT-branded tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, coolant temp., boost pressure, and oil pressure.

Exterior:

The Cobra was distinguished from the contemporary SN95 Mustang by circular front fog lights as well as a revised hood, rocker panels, and front and rear fascias. This example is finished in Oxford White, and additional exterior details include an aftermarket antenna, replacement headlights, a rear spoiler, dual polished exhaust outlets, and SVT and Cobra badging.

Drivetrain:

The 4.6-liter DOHC V8 has been modified with a polished Whipple supercharger, a 3.0″ supercharger pulley, a Steeda air intake box, revised fuel system components, an aluminum radiator, and a Canton Racing aluminum coolant reservoir. Power is sent through a Tremec T-56 six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Modifications include an aftermarket clutch, tubular subframe connectors, long-tube headers, and a Steeda exhaust system with an X-pipe. Chrome 17″ five-spoke wheels are mounted with 275/40 front and 315/35 rear Nitto NT555 G2 tires. SVT-specific suspension components consist of gas-pressurized Bilstein monotube dampers and an independent rear suspension. Steeda caster/camber plates and replacement bushings, lowering springs, and an aftermarket front sway bar have been installed. Stopping power is provided by Brembo calipers squeezing cross-drilled and slotted rotors up front in addition to single-piston calipers fitted over slotted rotors at the rear.
