Description:

This 1969 Pontiac Bonneville convertible was refurbished in 2016 and refinished in blue over white vinyl upholstery. The car is powered by a 428ci V8 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission and equipped with 15″ steel wheels, power steering, four-wheel drum brakes, a power-operated white soft top, rear fender skirts, power windows, and an Alpine AM/FM/CD stereo linked to Targa door speakers. Work in preparation for sale is described below.

Interior:

The cabin features two rows of bench seating trimmed in white vinyl upholstery with faux woodgrain trim across the dashboard and door panels. Equipment includes a power-adjustable front bench, power windows, front and rear lap belts, an Alpine AM/FM/CD stereo, and Targa door speakers. The blower motor and the low-pressure service port were replaced and the A/C system was recharged in October 2023. The right rear window does not roll down with the driver's door switch and blemishes are noted on the driver's door card and passenger-side woodgrain trim. The wood-rimmed steering wheel frames a horizontal-sweep 120-mph speedometer and a fuel level gauge.

Exterior:

The car was originally Verdoro Green but it was repainted in its current shade of blue in 2016. Exterior details include a replacement power-operated white soft top, chrome bumpers, color-keyed body-side moldings, chrome rocker-panel trim, and rear fender skirts. A white top boot will accompany the car.

Drivetrain:

The 428ci V8 was factory rated at 360 horsepower and 472 lb-ft of torque and features a blue-finished engine block, intake manifold, and valve covers. Work in October 2023 consisted of installing an Edelbrock 750-cfm carb and a remanufactured alternator in addition to replacing the fuel-level sensor, accessory belts, spark plugs, and air and fuel filters. The water pump has also been replaced. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed TH400 automatic transmission. The transmission filter and fluid were replaced in October 2023. Steel 15″ wheels wear polished Pontiac Motor Division-branded covers and are mounted with 225/75 Milestar Touring SLE thing-whitewall tires that have 2021 production date codes. The car was optioned with power steering and power-assisted four-wheel drum brakes.
