Description:

This 1970 Porsche 914-6 is finished in metallic gray over black vinyl upholstery and is powered by a 2.0-liter flat-six paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Equipment includes a removable black Targa top, 14″ Fuchs wheels, a RetroSound head unit, PMO carburetors, 914-6 Werkshop heat exchangers, and Pertronix electronic ignition. The car was refurbished between 2012 and 2015. Work in October 2023 consisted of replacing the brake master cylinder, brake light switch, shifter bushings, fuel tank level sending unit, and spark plugs.

Interior:

The cockpit features seats trimmed in black vinyl with perforated inserts, along with color-matched door panels, a stitched dash top, and salt and pepper carpets. Equipment includes a RetroSound head unit, a heater, and three-point seat belts. The brake light switch was replaced in preparation for the sale. The four-spoke steering wheel frames a tachometer with a 6,300-rpm redline, a 150-mph speedometer, and a combination gauge for oil temperature and fuel level. The tachometer was rebuilt in 2015. The five-digit odometer shows 62k miles.

Exterior:

Originally finished in Irish Green, the car was repainted metallic gray by Redmond European in the mid-2010s. The black removable roof panel and pillars were refinished in 2017 by Bozeman Auto Body in Montana.

Drivetrain:

The mid-mounted 2.0L flat-six is equipped with dual PMO carburetors and a Pertronix electronic ignition module. The engine was rebuilt in 2012, while more recent work in preparation for the sale consisted of replacing the voltage regulator, fuel tank level sending unit, and spark plugs. Compression test results taken at that time are viewable in the gallery. The five-speed manual transaxle was rebuilt in 2013, and the shifter bushings were replaced in October 2023. Stainless steel heat exchangers from 914-6 Werkshop were added under prior ownership. The 14″ Fuchs wheels wear BFGoodrich G-Force Super Sport tires that show date codes from 2011, and a steel spare wheel shod with an older tire is located in the front trunk. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs with red calipers, and Bilstein shocks are fitted at all four corners. The brake fluid was flushed in 2019 at which time the rear shocks and various bushings were replaced. The brake master cylinder was replaced in October 2023.
