Description:

This 1968 Harley-Davidson XLCH Sportster is powered by an 883cc Ironhead V-twin paired with a four-speed transmission and is finished in metallic blue with white stripes. Equipment includes wire-spoke wheels, drum brakes, a headlight, a brown solo seat, a kick starter, a chrome dual exhaust system, a luggage rack, a taillight, and both center and side stands. The bike was refurbished in March 2023.

Interior:

The chrome handlebar carries white grips and dual mirrors and is mounted ahead of replacement ivory-dial instrumentation consisting of a 140-mph speedometer, and a 6k-rpm tachometer. The five-digit odometer shows 14 miles. True mileage is unknown, and the hand grips show signs of wear.

Exterior:

The bodywork was refinished in metallic blue with white stripes under prior ownership. Features include head and tail lights, a brown solo seat, a chrome luggage rack, and both side and center stands. Wire-spoke wheels measuring 19″ up front and 18″ out back are mounted with Avon tires and feature acrylic dice valve stem caps. Suspension consists of a chrome telescopic fork with black gaiters as well as dual chrome shocks mounted to the swingarm. Braking is handled by drums at both ends.

Drivetrain:

The 883cc OHV Ironhead V-twin features an S&S Cycle Super E carburetor, a Pingel fuel petcock and inline fuel filter, a kick starter, a Cycle Electric Inc. generator, and a chrome dual exhaust system. The fluids were drained from the bike under current ownership so that it could be displayed indoors. Power is sent to the rear wheel through a right-side-shift four-speed gearbox and a drive chain.
