Description:

This 1956 Dodge Coronet Lancer two-door hardtop was modified under previous ownership with a 360ci V8 linked with a four-speed automatic transmission. The body has been repainted in metallic red with ghosted flames over tan leather upholstery. Further modifications are extensive and listed below.

Interior:

The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in tan leather along with color-coordinated door panels and headliner. A red-painted dashboard accents the interior, and equipment includes Vintage Air climate control, a B&M shifter, a removable custom center console, and polished Dodge-branded doorsill plates. The interior also has lap belts and crank windows, and a fuse panel is accessible via the glovebox door. The air-conditioning system was serviced in preparation for the sale.

Exterior:

The car was repainted in Chrysler Blaze Red Pearl (PRH) with ghosted flames on the hood and doors. The body features a pillarless design, and the exterior door handles have been shaved and most of the trim has been removed. Equipment includes chrome bumpers, dual side mirrors, front vent windows, and tail fins. Dual exhaust exits protrude beneath the rear bumper. The four-spoke Grant GT steering wheel frames AutoMeter Sport-Comp instrumentation including a central 160-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, an analog clock, and supplementary gauges for fuel level, battery voltage, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The replacement five-digit mechanical odometer shows 62k miles, and total mileage is unknown.

Drivetrain:

The replacement 360ci V8 was installed under previous ownership and is fitted with an Edelbrock carburetor, intake manifold, air cleaner, and valve covers as well as an MSD ignition system, an aluminum radiator, and an electric cooling fan. A pressure gauge is fitted to the air-conditioning system. The oil was changed in preparation for the sale. The custom front-hinged hood is demonstrated in the video, and chips in the paint are noted near the front edge of the hood. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a replacement four-speed automatic transmission. Five-spoke American Racing 17″ wheels are mounted with 215/55 Mastercraft MC-440 tires up front and 235/55 Pantera Touring CUV A/S tires. The car is equipped with power steering and coilovers, and braking is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
