Description:

This 1993 Ford Mustang SVT Cobra is powered by an SVT-tuned 5.0L V8 backed by a Borg-Warner five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip rear end. It was repainted in black in 2023 and features gray leather upholstery, 17″ turbine-style wheels, vented four-wheel disc brakes, power steering, Cobra-specific bodywork, air conditioning, and a CD player. Additional service in 2023 included installing a Tuff Stuff alternator and replacing the headlights, front turn signals, rear Cobra badge, brake pads, brake rotors, rearview mirror, heater hoses, starter cable, negative battery cable, coolant temperature switch, coolant hoses, and spark plugs.

Interior:

The cabin features Opal Gray leather upholstery as well as air conditioning, front-seat power lumbar adjustment, and a CD stereo. The rearview mirror, center-console ashtray, door hinge pins, and heater hoses were replaced in 2023. Instrumentation includes a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 38k miles and has rolled over.

Exterior:

The Cobra's aero elements distinguished it from the rest of the Mustang line-up and included an open front fascia, integrated rocker extensions, a unique rear bumper cover, and a decklid airfoil. This car received a glass-out repaint in the factory black in August 2023. The headlights, front turn signals, and rear Cobra badge were also replaced.

Drivetrain:

The 5.0-liter V8 made 235 horsepower and 280 lb/ft of torque in Cobra trim. Service in 2023 included installing a Tuff Stuff High-Amp alternator and a reproduction Cobra badge and replacing the starter cable, negative battery cable, coolant temperature switch, coolant hoses, and spark plugs. The Cobra was equipped with a heavy-duty Borg-Warner T5 five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip rear end with a 3.08:1 final drive. Turbine-style 17″ wheels were factory equipment as were power-assisted four-wheel vented disc brakes and power steering. The tires are 245/45 Kumho Ecsta V730s manufactured in 2021, and the brake pads and rotors were replaced in 2023.
